Questions, answered
How much smaller will my file get?
It depends on what's inside. Scans and photo-heavy PDFs often shrink by 60–90%. A PDF that is mostly text is already compact, so the saving is small.
Will the quality drop?
Only images are re-encoded, and only as far as the level you choose. Text is never turned into an image, so it stays crisp and searchable.
What happens to my file after it's processed?
Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, processed, and returned to you straight away. We don’t keep a copy: temporary working files are deleted the moment the conversion finishes, and nothing is stored afterwards.
