Questions, answered
Which PDF/A version do I get?
PDF/A-2, which most portals accept, produced with Ghostscript. Colours are converted to RGB, and anything PDF/A forbids, such as JavaScript, is left out. If a portal demands a certified file, check it with a validator such as veraPDF.
Does this count toward my daily limit?
Yes. This tool needs a real engine on our servers, so each file counts as one conversion toward your daily limit. You get a free allowance every day, with or without an account, and Pro and Business raise it a lot.
What happens to my file after it's processed?
Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, processed, and returned to you straight away. We don’t keep a copy: temporary working files are deleted the moment the conversion finishes, and nothing is stored afterwards.
