Questions, answered
Why flatten a PDF?
Some apps hide or drop form entries and comments, and anyone can edit them. Flattening fixes their appearance on the page. Text stays real text, so it's still sharp and searchable, but the form can no longer be filled in.
Does this count toward my daily limit?
Yes. This tool needs a real engine on our servers, so each file counts as one conversion toward your daily limit. You get a free allowance every day, with or without an account, and Pro and Business raise it a lot.
What happens to my file after it's processed?
Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, processed, and returned to you straight away. We don’t keep a copy: temporary working files are deleted the moment the conversion finishes, and nothing is stored afterwards.
